The Holy Trinity: Diving into the World of Luxury Watches

While Rolex is undoubtedly the leader of the luxury watch industry, real connaisseurs and watch enthusiasts know that the holy trinity is the epitome of the haute horlogerie. We are talking of course about no other brands than Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin. In terms of popularity and prestige one could very well name them in that order as well. Especially Patek and AP received a lot of attention from outside the watch world due to collaborations with celebrities and artists such as Travis Scoot who recently released a coll

Patek Philippe

This surge in popularity for those two brands is also prominent in the market prices of these watches in the past few years. The peak of this uprise in market prices was reached by the Patek Phillipe nautilus with a Tiffany blue dial. This to 170 pieces limited model reached the price of 6,5 million dollars (including buyers premium) and is the 8th most expensive watch ever sold at an auction

Audemars Piguet

Regarding Audemars Piguet the swiss manufacturer from Le Brassus is running a successful business with its crown jewel the Royal Oak which by assumption is the main source of revenue for Audemars Piguet. Specifically celebrities such as Travis Scott and Ed Sheeran are the figureheads of the company when it comes to promoting the brand through wearing their watches in public

Vacheron Constantin

The third of the trinity and while not so prominent nonetheless as important is Vacheron Constantin especially around watch experts and collectors specifically due to their niche position in the watch market. Their prestige model is the Overseas which is like the Nautilus and the Royal Oak a sports steel model. Their haute horlogerie is represented by their Métier d‘Arts collections which are truly artworks.
